1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Melophrase website, app, or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of service

Melophrase is a language-learning service that uses music to help you learn. We provide CEFR-aligned bilingual music tracks, time-synced lyrics, and an AI track generator. The service is offered on our website and via our app. Access to full content and features may require registration and, where applicable, a paid subscription (e.g. 7-day free trial, monthly, yearly, or lifetime plans).

3. Account and eligibility

You must create an account (e.g. with email and password) to use certain features. You must provide accurate and complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (typically 16 or 18 depending on where you live) to use the service. If you are under that age, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

4. Use of the service

You may use Melophrase only for lawful, personal language-learning purposes. You must not: misuse or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ accounts; copy, scrape, or redistribute our content outside the service; use the service in a way that could harm, disable, or overload it; or violate any applicable laws. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.

5. Subscription and payment

We may offer free trials, monthly, annual, or lifetime subscription options. Pricing and billing are as shown on our pricing page at the time of sign-up. You can cancel in accordance with the options we provide (e.g. “cancel anytime” for recurring plans). Refunds are handled in line with applicable consumer law and any refund policy we publish. Checkout and payment processing are provided by Lemon Squeezy; by completing a purchase you also agree to their Terms of Service in respect of the payment transaction.

6. Intellectual property

Melophrase and its content (including but not limited to software, design, text, music, lyrics, and branding) are owned by us or our licensors. You do not acquire any ownership by using the service. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the service for your personal use in accordance with these terms. Any content you submit (e.g. profile information or avatar) you grant us a licence to use, store, and display as needed to operate the service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Melophrase is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or for any loss of data or profits. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so (e.g. death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

8. Changes and termination

We may change these terms or the service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes (e.g. by posting an updated version and date on the website or by email where appropriate). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may discontinue or restrict the service or your access with notice where reasonable. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we may delete or retain data as set out in our Privacy Policy.
